ABOUT

 

Allie is an experiential theatre artist, designer, educator, and writer with specializations in devised and immersive theatre. Education: MA Contemporary Performance Practices (Royal Holloway University of London), BA Acting, BA Directing (Pace University School of Performing Arts). 

 

Allie has presented work at NYC venues Teatro SEA, FringeNYC, Theater for the New City, Dixon Place, Theatre Row, and HERE Arts Center, and internationally in Ecuador, Greece, Argentina, and throughout the U.K. She also frequently consults on immersive and devised performance projects throughout NY.

 

Allie is the co-founder of you&i, an experiential performance collective based in Brooklyn. The collective recently received a NY City Arts Council Grant to support a new community based interactive performance project, threshold.

Allie currently holds teaching residencies with Marquis Studios and Queens Theatre. She also has taught with Treasure Trunk Theatre, Broadway Bound Kids, Girl Be Heard, Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning, and Wingspan Arts. She is a NYC Staff Correspondent for No Proscenium.

Allie's scholarly work is currently centered in the cross section of cognitive science and spectatorship, with a specific focus on participatory and interactive performance. She recently presented papers in the field at the London Center for Interdisciplinary Research and the Immersive Experience Institute Next Stage Summit.
