This season I will be directing a new play in Sitting Shotgun's Fall season titled daughters of Solomon by Mark Thomas Johnson. Taking inspiration from Christian theology and chapter 119 of Moby-Dick, this piece blends comedy and horror to create a surreal world of half-reality in which we find history creating itself. Musing on ideas of creation, destruction, and responsibility, daughters of Solomon is a quick-paced jaunt leaving the audience wondering if that actually did just happen. The cast will feature Salome Egas (Muse), Caroline Festa (Daughter 1), Alec Kirazian (Monk), and Lesley Young (Daughter 2). Production and design team will include Alex Church-Gonzales (Costume Design, Asst. Director), Jack McManus (Dramaturg), Stephanie M. Orta Vázquez (Fight Director), Linnea Sumner (Hair/Makeup Design). Performances will take place at SQUARE1 November 26th-December 1st.
